After falling victim to a ‘Cowboy Builder’ himself Wayne Sats CEO of TradeDoctor approached an Investment team to back TradeDoctor. TradeDoctor is the first of three projects to be launched under the Doctor umbrella. We (TradeDoctor) are three individuals who collectively have spent over 30 years in the investment, social care, internet and construction sectors. We are dedicated to creating and supporting innovative projects that offer niche market advantages; that have an underlining ethical approach towards business, customers, environment and social moral justice.

Trade Doctor is a simple concept that helps both the Customer and the Trader. All Trade Doctor members are vetted to the highest available standard in the UK today - TrustMark. TrustMark is a government endorsed scheme that already exists and has over 17,000 Trades certified

Through technology and the help of our lawyers, Customers use TradeDoctor to plan, auction and contract with their chosen Trader online. The Customer uses the project planning tools on the site and posts details of the work to be done. Traders can ask questions via the site as to the work to be done and these are answered by the Customer on an anonymous basis i.e. the Trader does not know the identity of the Customer at this stage. Traders then bid for the work. When a Trader is selected by a Customer on the basis of its bid, the Customer’s details are disclosed to the Trader and the Trader undertakes a site visit. If the Trader and Customer agree that the Trader is to perform the work, then a contract for the work is generated by Trade Doctor ("Contract") and entered into by all three parties. The Contract will include milestones i.e. stages at which payments are to be made by the Customer. The Customer can select one of two payment models either "Opt–In" or "Opt–Out".

If the Customer selects Opt out contract type then the Customer will manage the payments and contract milestones direct with the Trader. If the Customer chooses to the Opt in contract type then Project payments are made into Customer Escrow account and held as security. The Trader is paid when the Customer approves the work for the milestone has been successfully completed.

1. Trader is not financially sound as a result your project is left without the adequate resources the Trader agreed to provide. This will lead to more cost for you!
2. Money, Money, Money – Trader continuously request Money at the start and during project. Typically 80% of projects fee are paid when the project is under 50% complete
3. Unskilled Tradesman – Trader is not qualified to perform all aspects of the project work undertaken this leads to delays and inevitably more cost for you
4. Tradesman guarantee – Work completed however you soon realise all is not right with your project. What guarantee do you have that the tradesman will comeback and make good on the work
5. Your Project is insured? Are you sure do you have the correct insurances in the event of disaster?

We charge the Trader between 5% and 7.5% of the labour fee for award of the project.
